This group is for those that like playing different games with different people each time.
No previous knowledge required.
Newcomers and complete learners most welcome.

The usual suspects for games were Black Maria, Chinese Rummy, Five Crowns, Cribbage, Golf, Yahzoo, Rummikub, Upwords, Mexican Train, etc. Mah Jong and Backgammon have also been played.
However ……….
At the U3A York Festival 2026, Modern Board Games were played.
These are also called Euro Games.
They are less than 30 years old and games of 'skill, strategy and luck’.
Mainly building economic models.
Games like Catan (image), Carcassone, Wingspan, Tranquility, Ticket to Ride, Rebirth and Alhambra
Therefore at one of our sessions (8th Sept 2026, 1st week) we shall be joining the 21st century; playing a Euro Game and being fashionable.
