New Age Kurling is similar to what you see on the Winter Olympics but held in a village hall, on dry land and no brushing required. We all like to think of it as Bowling without the need to bend! We all take the game very seriously, but lose with good grace. The morning is filled with chatter and laughter.
On Monday December, straight after our meeting, we all went to the Golf Club for our Christmas Lunch and a good time was had by all.
Sunday March 23rd 18 of our members took part in a "cut-throat" competition and the final winners were Doreen Rimington and Brian Caswell. There was, as usual, a fair amount of laughter and one or two claims about some of the stones, but everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves. The event was completed by a lunch for 20 of us at the Golf Club, which was certainly enjoyed by all.
If you are interested in seeing what it's all about and/or would like to join we do still have spaces for new members. Pop in and visit: you will be very welcome. Come to: Morton Village Hall on Mondays from 10.00 - 12.00
