GROUPS

All our interest groups are run by our own members; each has a Group Leader. They are not teachers but are interested in the subject of the group and are happy to lead when supported by the rest of the group. It is a very sociable way of doing things: helping and learning from each other.

Any member can set up an interest group. Some groups only have 3 or 4 members, others have nearly 30. Some Interest groups need special skills for example: the leader of The Singing for Fun group has the musical ability to help us enjoy singing.

For more information about any interest group, please contact our Chairman who will pass on your query to the relevant group leader.

We do need people prepared to be Group Leaders as we are all getting older and need new, (possibly younger) people to share the role. Anyone interested in starting a new group will find that other group leaders, and members of the committee, are able to offer advice and support. 

An information sheet will be available at the next monthly meeting.

More interest groups are on offer from our local Neighbourhood Group of u3as. To be part of this, and be able to join any of those groups you need to be a member of the Gainsborough u3a, and we can provide you with additional information.
